We handle the demolition of old tile, the stonework and the finish, working with our sister fabricator Marble & Granite International when the design calls for cut stone. Popular choices include marble, quartzite, limestone, slate and porcelain and ceramic tile. Stone and tile must suit the heat and clearance rules for your firebox, and we check that before work begins.

Can you tile over my existing fireplace surround?
Sometimes, but usually we remove the old tile so the new surround sits flat and bonds properly. We decide after seeing the fireplace.
Do you work on gas and wood-burning fireplaces?
We install the tile and stone around both. Gas lines, inserts and chimney work are handled by the appropriate licensed trades.
How much does a new fireplace surround cost?

Is your work warrantied?
Yes. ASTI warrants its workmanship for one year from the date of completion. We are a registered Massachusetts Home Improvement Contractor, #141722. We do not offer financing.
