Slabs are fabricated by our sister company Marble & Granite International, and ASTI’s installers set them, so one team carries the job from slab to finished kitchen. Countertop materials
We install granite, marble, quartzite and other natural stone, as well as engineered quartz, like the Calacatta Laza quartz in our Weston kitchen. Our brushed Taj Mahal quartzite project shows the kind of detail work Marble & Granite International and ASTI do together, down to beveled edges cut from remnant stone.
How a countertop project works
- Estimate. Our sales team reviews your layout, cabinets and stone choice.
- Slab selection. Choose your slab with Marble & Granite International.
- Template. Cabinets are measured and templated so the stone fits the space exactly.
- Fabrication. The slab is cut, edged and polished, with cutouts for the sink and cooktop.
- Installation. ASTI sets, levels and seams the tops, then seals stone that needs it.
Cost and timeline
Countertop installation alone runs about $700 to $3,500, depending on the size of the kitchen and the stone; the slab and fabrication are priced separately by Marble & Granite International. Templating and installation take about two days.

Who fabricates the stone?
Marble & Granite International, our sister company in Waltham, cuts and finishes the slabs. ASTI installs them.
Which stone is best for a kitchen?
Granite and quartzite are hard and handle daily cooking well. Marble is softer and etches, so it suits owners who like a surface that wears in. We can talk through the trade-offs when we price your project.
Do you install the backsplash too?
Yes. We install stone backsplashes cut from the same slab and tile backsplashes of any kind.
How much does countertop installation cost?
Installation alone is about $700 to $3,500. The stone slab and fabrication are priced by Marble & Granite International based on the stone, square footage, edge profile and cutouts. Call (781) 893-7041 or request a quote.
Can you heat a countertop?
Yes. We can install radiant heat under kitchen countertops when requested.
Is your work warrantied?
Yes. ASTI warrants its workmanship for one year from the date of completion. We are a registered Massachusetts Home Improvement Contractor, #141722. We do not offer financing.
